Maggie Scott is a writer, editor and podcaster based in Melbourne, Australia. She is also an avid reader – Amazon replaced her broken kindle for free, no questions asked, because she downloads so many books.
Maggie co-edited and contributed to three anthologies centred around the female experience, all published by Pan Macmillan: Just Between Us; Mothers and Others; and #MeToo, Stories from the Australian Movement.
She also edited and contributed to The Coburg Plan, an book of photographs by Jessie Scott and essays by a range of contributors, documenting a Melbourne suburb in flux. She and her sister also published a screen culture blog called Picture Skew.
Along with Jessie Scott and Carla Donnelly, Maggie co-hosts Club Soderbergh, a monthly show about the feature films of American film director Steven Soderbergh. Club Soderbergh was nominated for a 2019 Australian Podcast Award in the Fancast category.
Maggie has worked as a freelance communications specialist for organisations such as Her Place Women’s Museum, University of Melbourne, Burnet Institute, Lonely Planet and Channels, the Australian Video Art Festival.
