About me

I am a writer, editor and podcaster who works, creates and lives on Naarm, the unceded lands of the Kulin Nations.

I love to collaborate with others on creative projects and I am part of a feminist collective of writers.

Together with this collective, I was a co-commissioning editor and contributor for three anthologies centred around women’s stories and experiences: Just Between Us (Pan Macmillan); Mothers and Others (Pan Macmillan); and #MeToo, Stories from the Australian Movement (Picador).

My sister Jessie Scott and I have been collaborating ever since we figured out how to record our voices on a tape deck and belt out all the lyrics from our Smash Hits Song Book. She is a talented video artist, and I helped her commission and edit essays for her book of photographs The Coburg Plan, which documents a suburb in flux. We also published a screen culture blog called Picture Skew.

I have dabbled in podcasting too. I co-hosted Club Soderbergh, a monthly show about the feature films of American film director Steven Soderbergh. Club Soderbergh was nominated for a 2019 Australian Podcast Award in the Fancast category.

My passion for Prince has been channeled into an unpublished podcast called Uncle P.

For bread and butter, I am a communications specialist and have worked for organisations such as Monash University, Her Place Women’s Museum, University of Melbourne, Burnet Institute, Melbourne International Film Festival, Lonely Planet and Channels, the Australian Video Art Festival.
